Exploring Options & the Joys of Having a Son

I just wanted to share with you what all is swimming around in our heads- mostly so you know that we are actively working on a decision, not just being indecisive :)

Our caseworker let us know very sweetly but honestly that we really would be waiting a loooooong time if we stayed in the domestic program. We've been researching specifically Tiawan and the Philippines, as well as re-looking at all open countries (aka- been buried yet again in paperwork). I think we have decided to nix Philippines due to the fact that we can't select gender. We are also reseraching a waiting little girl in Russia and her medical information. Also, I have been digging again through profiles of waiting adoptable children within the U.S. Finally, through all of this, we have been receiving updates from Carolina Hope's director regarding Azerbaijan reporting how well things are looking now. Apparently, 4 cases have recently moved through their system. So, we sent an e-mail last night asking for an updated fee schedule for that program to see if we can even still be interested.

Anyway, those are some of the decisions we are currently trying to wade through. Not to mention some off topic ones- a)will we teach Sunday School at our new church? b)can we get to Texas this summer? c)how soon can I give Ian tylenol again for his teeth? d)what in the world am I doing for dinner tonight? e)and where in the world are these wasps coming from in our kitchen?!

I'll close with a little story on Corban. The kids have been playing outside this afternoon. I decided to lie down and try to get a little sun. It wasn't very long before Corban threw his little body across me and started hitting the ground all the while declaring between giggles, "Pin you, Mommy! One! Two! Three!"

Praying that the Lord will make it clear to you where He wants you to go.

And...sometimes the answer to (e)is: pizza-the carry-out kind. :)

Just want you to know that I am praying for you. Remember, God's delays are always perfect and faith building! Re: the pinning of the mom , cute story but just wait until they are almost taller then you. I feel intimidated most days! Hang in there. Monica
