Sierra keeps us laughing

Again, in the waiting period, I thought I'd fill some time with yet another story from Sierra (if you only knew how many I didn't post!). We have been having some gorgeous weather and I had laid out some grungy clothes for Sierra to change into when she woke up so she could go outside and play. The children had woken up and I gave Sierra instructions to change. About the same time, the phone rang and it was my mom. I took the phone into my room so I could put my shoes and socks on while still talking. The next thing I knew, Sierra was standing in my doorway holding her shirt and declaring, "Mom! I'm not OK with this." My mom could hear her and was dying laughing. I was trying to ignore her and keep a straight face so I could deal with Sierra in the seriousness she desired. I wanted to be sure of exactly what I was dealing with. So I asked, "What, Sierra? What are you 'not okay with'?" She emphatically held up her shirt and shook it and said, "This! I'm not okay with this!" I had to explain it made more fashion sense to wear a grungy shirt now so she would still have nice shirts for other things. Heaven help me when she's 13!

I can honestly say in my house full of boys that I have never encountered this problem. In fact, I'm not sure that we own clothes that aren't grungy. :)

Praying for your family as you seek to obey and glorify God in this adoption!
