Home Again, Home Again, Jigetty Jig!

Hello All,

We heard from so many people that our USCIS fingerprinting appointment would be an all-day affair with us standing in line for hours upon hours. So, we made arrangments to leave our children with some sweet friends overnight since we also had to be there at 8AM. However, at the last minute, we heard from several friends that have recently been through the office that you can get in and out within 30 minutes, max. So, we chose to brave it and hope for the best :) We made hotel reservations just a couple blocks away from the USCIS office and took our kiddos with us. This is the Super 8 we stayed in:

And this is the pool where Philip and the kids played and the hot tub where mommy relaxed:

Here are the kids (and Daddy) relaxing in front of some cartoons when they finished swimming:

While Ian enjoyed a nap:And here is a picture of the non-descript USCIS office in Naperville:

Thankfully, we were in and out very quickly. The staff was friendly and efficient. The gentleman that did my prints really spent alot of time doing his very best to make my prints scan as clearly as possible, but, as I've been told before, I have terrible prints. So, he also inked me and will send those along as well. But he warned me even those may fail. So, we are really praying that he was able to get good enough prints that they won't require us to come back! Thanks for all the prayer warriors praying with us!!!

Glad it went smoothly. One more thing checked off.

Funny, I also have problems with my prints. It took them for ever to get mine, but it worked! Glad you weren't there all day, and it looks like you had a great time with your kids.
