Angie, our caseworker with Holt, called yesterday to check up on us and see if there were any questions she could answer. Our conversation made me realize I had been misunderstanding the estimated timeline for bringing our daughter home. I was thinking it would be 12 to 18 months from when we submitted our dossier to when we bring her home. Wrong. It is 12 to 18 months from when we submit our dossier to when we receive our referral. Then we would travel almost immediately to visit her and make our acceptance of her official. Then we have to wait 3 to 5 months before we can return and bring her home. However, since we are open to a girl up to age 4 years and are open to minor to moderate special needs, our wait time will probably be reduced.
Also, I am trying to prepare for going to Chicago next week for fingerprinting. We will be leaving the children overnight. Good grief. I don't know how parents send their kids away for summer camp :) And I REALLY am going to struggle leaving my kiddos both times we go to Bulgaria. Anyway, I'm rambling this morning, still in my PJ's, and I have some neighbor ladies coming for brunch soon! Have a wonderful Thursday!

When we left the boys for a week to come to England and find a home I cried and cried. It's hard to be without them when you are accustomed to being home with them all day, everyday! Fortunately you will have a most precious distraction in Bulgaria! :) I'm excited to see God work to unite another family through the beautiful process of adoption!
