MOPS Encouragement

This morning was our MOPS (Mothers of PreSchoolers) Christmas brunch and we were very blessed to have Myfanway Saunders speak to us. She spoke about God's true and genuine peace that He offers to His children- not the temporary seasonal peace that we all try to latch on to at Christmas. She shared the verse Zephaniah 3:17, which says, "The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with is love, he will rejoice over you with singing." It is exciting to know that despite all of my horrid sin, He wants to take me and wash me clean and actually rejoice over me. But, I also think of what this verse means for every orphan. They aren't forgotten. They aren't a faceless crowd. They are not abandoned. He is mighty to save. They are precious to Him. And so are you.
