June 1, 2011- First Hearing- Delayed
June 29, 2011- First Hearing
July 15, 2011- Second Hearing
Aug. 11, 2011- Third Hearing- "The judge did not give the formal verbal order yet. He is telling the attorney that he will- but will not say when. It is very frustrating. The VCT directress and attorney had private meetings with the judge to stress the importance of adoption matters and to urge the orders to be given as soon as possible. Please be assured that VCT and the attorney are doing everything that they can and we will keep you posted."
Aug. 23, 2011-
“Yesterday we had been to court. We checked with the advocate. He says no dates have been given for both xxxxx and Hanna. However he has been assured by the judge that these orders will be passed at the earliest. The advocate also seems confident. We can only hope for the best."
Aug. 24, 2011- “Had a chat with the advocate. He says the judge had dictated the orders for both Hanna and xxxx . On checking the copy he found a lot of mistakes. He then took these rough drafts to his office got it corrected and has given it to the judge. However the judge fired his stenographer who made those mistakes and she has been on leave since then. The advocate spoke once again to the judge and he has promised to do this at the earliest. Usually it is only after the judge dictates the order that the verbal orders are passed although it sounds contradictory. So in reality the verbal orders have not been passed since the dictation is not complete. In spirit the orders have been passed because the advocate has made the necessary corrections and given it back to the judge for a fresh dictation. Hopefully we should hear from him soon. Please pass on this news to the parents so they know there is no problems with the judge passing the orders. It is a technical challenge."
