Good morning, Dean,
Why are we not getting assigned a judge so this process has a prayer of moving forward?

Thanks for the email. While I was out a couple of days this week, and have some catch up to do, I did not want you to wait over the weekend to hear from me.
Yes, the slowest and most frustrating element of the whole adoption process is waiting for the Courts! Bangalore courts have been a recurrent challenge…. so much so that this is noted in the India Adoption Guidebook.
I did speak with the Directress of VCT ( Mrs. Mary Paul) last night. She and the attorneys are also frustrated with the Court. While the Indian Supreme Court has long given and renewed opinion that the lower courts are to adjudicate adoption cases within two months, this is roundly ignored by the lower courts. Bangalore courts are particularly slow. Transparency and accountability are not words that I would use to describe the courts at this time.
The Directress of VCT told me last night that she plans to make a personal visit to the judge to advocate for adoption cases in process. She intends to remind the judge of the supreme court opinion and the CARA directive. Obviously telling a judge his duty is pretty touchy work. But if anyone can pull it off it is Mary Paul. I have watched her finesse people so sweetly that they didn’t have a clue that they were being finessed. This skill is a gift.
So, after the appt, Mary Paul will share impressions and we will connect with you.
I do hope that this is helpful information

If you could be praying with us over the next few days for Mary Paul's visit to the court, we would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you,
