Vesta recently informed Holt there will be a conference organized by Vesta, other accredited agencies and the MOJ at the end of February. The topic of the conference will be the registration of children in adoption registries. Vesta has said they hope the MOJ will have and present the statistics for the number of registered families in 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 at this conference and then be able to share those with Holt.
We are anxiously awaiting this report because that will give us a better idea of when we need to close the door on our domestic adoption option. We do think the time is getting close. It is hard to decide when to actually pick up the phone and tell the attorney to stop looking for us. The day we make that call will be bittersweet. We know we won't be welcoming home a newborn again soon, if ever. But we would be anticipating our little Bulgarian girl coming home to us. God has a perfect plan for our family and it is very comforting to know He is in control as opposed to being completely at the whim of politicians and time clocks.
